Chapter Officer Leadership Training • June 6, 2017
Chapter officers attended Chapter Officer Leadership Training (COLT) in Knoxville, Iowa on June 6, 2017. Members worked with their counterparts from other chapters in the district, as well as the district officers. They learned how to be better leaders to their chapter and peers. and took the knowledge they received back to their chapter with them.
Livestock Judging CDE in Osceola, Iowa • September 20, 2016
Chapter members went to Osceola, Iowa, to judge livestock on September 20, 2016. Livestock judged were Whether Sheep, Breeding Ewes, Breeding Gilts, Boar Hogs, a pen of Breeding Heifers, a pen of Bulls, and Meat Goat Does. The highest-scoring Moulton-Udell FFA member in attendance was 25th out of 210.
Subdistrict Convention in Pella, Iowa • February 20, 2017
Chapter members attended Subdistrict Convention in Pella, Iowa on February 20, 2017. The Greenhand Quiz Team - comprised of Chelsey Boettcher, Brason Bulechek, and Trent Rockwood - received a Silver award and advanced to District Convention. The Chapter Test Team - comprised of Ben St. Lawrence, Makenley Fenton, Alex Savage, and Caleb Martin - received a Silver award. The Chapter Program of Activities Team- comprised of Shayla Martsching, Kaitlyn Deahl, and Skyler Morrison - received a Silver award. Ag Broadcasting contestant John Davis received a Bronze award. Creed Speaker Malorie Probasco received a Bronze award. Job Interview contestant Alicin Leager received a Gold Award and advanced to District Convention. Ag Sales contestant Luke Neher received a Gold Award and advanced to District Convention. Welders Noah Probasco and Daylen Fenton advanced to District Convention.
South Central District Convention in Centerville, Iowa • March 4, 2017
Chapter members attended South Central District Convention in Centerville, Iowa on March 4, 2017. The Greenhand Quiz team - comprised of Malorie Probasco, Brason Bulechek, and Chelsey Boettcher - received a Silver award. Ag Sales contestant Luke Neher received a Silver award. Job Interview contestant Alicin Leager received a Gold award. Chapter Website, presented by Kendall Davis, received a Gold award and is advancing to State Convention. Welders Noah Probasco and Daylen Fenton received 5th place. The Reporter's Scrapbook received a Gold award, and voting delegates were John Davis and Makenley Fenton.
State FFA Leadership Conference in Ames, Iowa • April 9-11, 2017
The Moulton-Udell FFA Chapter attended the Iowa Leadership Conference in Ames, Iowa April 9-11, 2017. Members were very active at the conference, and were involved in numerous activities and career development events. Makenley Fenton and Malorie Probasco presented a chapter display of the faculty appreciation breakfast held during National FFA Week and received a silver award. Kendall Davis presented the chapter’s website and received a silver award. Kaitlyn Deahl participated in state FFA band. Shayla Martsching, Luke Neher, John Davis and Alicin Leager participated in an Ag Sales competition and received 10th place out of 58 teams. Chelsey Boettcher received a gold award and Brason Bulechek received a silver award for the Greenhand Quiz. The chapter also received an Ambassador Award for their support of the Iowa FFA Foundation. Alicin Leager participated in Teach AG signing day, in which she signed a letter of intent to become an Ag teacher after her graduation. John Davis, Kendall Davis, Alicin Leager, Shayla Martsching, Luke Neher and Noah Probasco all received the Iowa Degree, the highest award the state organization can bestow upon a member, for their successful supervised agricultural experience programs.
