The Moulton-Udell FFA Chapter was established in 1956, with 33 members joining at the start of the chapter. The Moulton school system and the Udell school system had just merged, and there was much interest in establishing an FFA Chapter with the reception of the new students. Our oldest Reporter's Scrapbook that we still possess is from 1957, with wooden front and back covers and bound by leather string. The scrapbook includes information about the state and national leadership conferences, Moulton-Udell's first Donkey Basketball event, a chapter skating party, the first Barnwarming dance, and the chapter's float in Moulton's Jamboree parade. Over the course of the 51 years that the chapter has been active, there have been dozens of Iowa Degree recipients, hundreds of SAE projects conducted, and the chapter has produced hundreds of successful agriculturists that have driven the agricultural progression in the Moulton area. The FFA Chapter has had such an influence on so many young people - in giving them opportunities to meet successful people in agriculture, as well as giving them the knowledge to better work and live in agriculture.
